For over a decade, Color Gems Bazaar has connected independent jewelry makers and lapidaries with ethically sourced, hand-selected gemstones from mines around the world. This is the story of how it began.
How it began
Started with a Single Rough Stone
It began far from any storefront. While traveling through remote mining regions, our founder held a piece of rough gemstone material for the first time uncut, unpolished, still carrying the marks of the earth it came from. That single stone sparked an obsession with the raw beauty most people never get to see.
What followed was years of learning meeting the miners, lapidaries, and cutters who work this material by hand, and understanding what ethical, transparent sourcing truly requires. Too often, the makers who deserved this stone were kept at arm's length from where it was found.
So we built a bazaar to close that gap connecting independent jewelry makers, lapidaries, and collectors directly to mine-sourced material they can trust. No middlemen dictating the story, just honest stone in the hands of the people who bring it to life.
