Morganite

Treatment: Natural/untreated

Morganite naturally forms as elongated, six-sided hexagonal crystals or chunky, unattached pieces with flat terminations, displaying a delicate soft pink to warm peachy-salmon color driven by trace manganese. It is almost exclusively found within coarse-grained granitic pegmatites, often alongside associated minerals like quartz, albite, and tourmaline. Featuring a durable Mohs hardness of 7.5 to 8, raw morganite is prized by lapidaries and mineral collectors alike for its transparent-to-translucent clarity and geometric crystal structure.

Authenticity Guaranteed

Rough morganite should be handled gently to protect its natural crystal structure, as its Mohs hardness of 7.5–8 makes it resistant to scratches but still vulnerable to chips and fractures. It can be cleaned with lukewarm water, mild dish soap, and a soft-bristled brush, followed by gentle rinsing and drying, while ultrasonic cleaners, steam, harsh chemicals, and acids should be avoided. The crystal should also be protected from impacts, extreme heat, and prolonged direct sunlight, which may damage the stone or fade its pink-to-peach color. For storage, wrap the rough morganite individually in a soft cloth or place it in a fabric-lined container and keep it in a cool, dry, dark location away from harder gemstones.

Faceting & Design Recommendations:

Rough morganite is a durable pink-to-peach beryl prized for its delicate color, clarity, and natural crystal structure, but careful evaluation and orientation are essential before cutting to maximize its face-up color, brilliance, and yield. Examine the rough from multiple directions for pleochroism, color zoning, transparency, inclusions, fractures, and crystal orientation, then position the table to enhance its strongest pink-to-peach tones and avoid a washed-out appearance. Clean material suits deep emerald, radiant, cushion, oval, round, pear, and brilliant cuts, while heavily included or irregular rough may benefit from custom designs. Use fine-grit laps, steady water flow, controlled pressure, and gradual polishing to protect fluid-filled inclusions and facet edges, while avoiding rapid temperature changes, excessive heat, and direct flame. With a Mohs hardness of 7.5–8 and no prominent cleavage.

Orders are carefully packed and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Domestic delivery typically arrives in 3–7 business days, while international shipping takes 7–21 business days depending on destination and customs. Every parcel is insured and fully tracked. If you're not completely satisfied, return unused stones in their original packaging within 15 days of delivery for a full refund or exchange — simply reach out to our team to start the process.
